Stillwater Church

What We Believe

We believe that full devotion to Jesus is essential for every believer.

We believe that life changes and discipleship are essential for every believer and best through life in a small group.

We believe that a Biblical church operates as a united community or servants with men and women sharing their spiritual gifts.

We believe that Biblical faith must be contagious and that all people matter to God.

We believe that Biblical Stewardship honors God.

We believe that Worship is our gift to God and is to be culturally relevant.

We believe that the church should be led by folks with leadership gifts.

Mentoring and Discipleship are an expected part of leadership.

History of Frederick Pike Campus

"The Call of God is not about you, but about what God wants to do through you."

In 1995, less than fifty people of Riverdale United Methodist Church in Dayton, Ohio faced a decision- their membership was declining and aging, and they were no longer effective in serving their inner city neighborhood as they had throughout their 100-year history. They chose to re-invest and start over. Giving up their building, their endowment, even their style and traditions of worship, they took a courageous step of faith and started Stillwater Church.

Twelve years later, over 750 worship weekly, the building has been expanded three times, and two more locations has been planted in the community.
